The Village has many things going on in the month of February. First is a great opportunity to support our local dining businesses and Golden Hill PTA. Dine-in or take out from the restaurants listed below to have 10% of your total donated back to the Golden Hill PTA during this month-long fundraiser.

- Friday, February 11th- Barrel 28
- Thursday, February 17th- Rookie’s
- Thursday February 24th -Copper Bottom
You must either present a flyer that can be found on the Golden Hill PTA Facebook page or mention the Golden Hill PTA to the restaurant staff while dining or picking up.
After a 10 year hiatus, the return of the “You bet your Ice hole” fishing tournament at Glenmere lake is this Saturday, February 5th. Beginning at dawn come out for a day of fun and fishing. More information/rules and registration can be found on the Florida Fire department and Village of Florida Facebook pages. The Florida Chamber of Commerce is hosting an ice skating event on February 12th, from 1-4 PM at the village ice rink. Located on Meadow road, next to the NYS police barracks this family-friendly event will have hot chocolate, toasted marshmallows and lots of fun for all ages. Every skating level is invited to attend, more information can be found on the Florida Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
February 15th will be the Village of Florida grievance night from 4-8 PM at the village hall on 33 S. Main street. Please bring all necessary materials with you to discuss with and present to the tax assessor.
