Town of Warwick resident Karen Amundson, with 22 years of public service as both a prosecutor and defense attorney in Orange County, has announced her candidacy for Warwick Town Court Judge. She also said that she has been endorsed by the Orange County Conservative Party and the Town of Warwick Republican Committee.
“My entire career has been steeped in public service and I would be honored to serve Warwick as a Town Judge,” she said. “The endorsements of my candidacy send a clear, energetic message that experience, leadership, impartiality and integrity matter.”
Amundson, currently Assistant Orange County Attorney representing the Department of Social Services in Family Court, also has served as an attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and as an Assistant District Attorney in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. She has represented more than 1,000 clients in county, town and village courts. She is a graduate of Pace Law School and SUNY College at Binghamton. Amundson’s next steps are to continue to have conversations with voters and share how she prioritizes ethics, fairness and the importance of judicial expertise.
